About the Role

The IT Support Officer will act as the primary technical support contact for end‑users in Addis Ababa, handling troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments while ensuring efficient ticket resolution and system upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact for technical assistance via phone or email
  • Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques
  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve end‑user issues
  • Monitor and prioritize tickets in the service desk queue
  • Modify workstation configurations and utilities
  • Maintain helpdesk tracking software and internal procedures
  • Assist with onboarding new users and equipment setup
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations and peripherals
  • Manage inventory of hardware, software, and licenses
  • Assign users to Active Directory groups
  • Perform timely upgrades of hardware and software
