Senior Finance Officer

About the Role

The Senior Finance Officer drives the finance team's operations, overseeing budgeting, treasury, payroll, and audit functions while ensuring compliance with national policies and delivering accurate financial reports for Ethiopia’s agricultural transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and planning processes, including training budget holders and managing approvals
• Supervise treasury, disbursement, and data management activities ensuring compliance with policies
• Oversee receivables, payables, and payroll functions, ensuring timely settlements and accurate records
• Coordinate internal and external audits, responding to queries and implementing recommendations
• Manage year‑end closing routines and financial reporting to MOF and IA
• Maintain financial controls and data integrity across ERP systems
