The Treasury Officer manages the receipt, verification, and processing of treasury transactions, performs reconciliations, analyzes market trends, prepares liquidity and impact reports, and coordinates with banking partners to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal fund utilization.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify treasury transaction documents before processing
- Process Treasury bills, government bonds, and other investment transactions per approved procedures
- Perform or monitor daily reconciliation of treasury accounts and settlement processes
- Investigate and resolve outstanding items and reconciliation differences promptly
- Analyze price trends, interest rate developments, and investment opportunities
- Prepare allocation and impact reports for thematic bond issuances
- Generate daily liquidity position reports and periodic financial reports
- Ensure sufficient funds to meet operational and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with commercial banks, NBE, ESX, and stakeholders on treasury matters
- Maintain filing and documentation of treasury transactions and provide explanations
