About the Role

The Finance Officer will manage project finances, ensuring accurate record-keeping, donor compliance, and effective budgeting for humanitarian and development programs in Afar, Semera.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records for projects and operations
  • Process payments, advances, liquidations, and bank transactions
  • Prepare monthly reports, budget monitoring reports, and cash forecasts
  • Support budget preparation and expenditure tracking
  • Ensure compliance with donor regulations and internal controls
  • Conduct bank and cash reconciliations
  • Verify financial documents before processing
  • Assist procurement teams on financial aspects of transactions
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial records
  • Provide financial guidance to program staff
