Senior Chemist

About the Role

Senior Chemist responsible for overseeing quality control and production processes in a personal care manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and company SOPs while generating reports and coordinating with QA/production teams.

Responsibilities

• Comply with health & safety requirements and wear PPE when required
• Maintain lab equipment neat, clean, calibrated and in safe operating condition
• Control production process and generate reports per batch, shift and day
• Ensure quality of materials and products in accordance with GMP and company standards
• Investigate nonconformance and respond to customer complaints as part of the QA team
• Implement standard operating procedures
• Oversee raw material testing before release
• Generate periodic weekly and monthly reports summarizing tested materials and products
• Evaluate product stability and set standards based on data
• Maintain schedules, segregation zones for incoming materials and finished goods
• Check batch records in collaboration with QA and production
• Provide training in quality control/assurance practices
• Store chemicals separately from food manufacturing areas
• Keep detailed inspection and testing records
• Work shifts and weekends as required
