About the Role

The Quality Assurance Division Head leads the QA/QC function, ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes while managing staff and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met
  • Prepare departmental budget and seek approval
  • Oversee sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products
  • Produce quality reports, certificates of analysis, and stability reports
  • Maintain product and service compliance with quality standards
  • Manage internal processes affecting product quality
  • Calibrate analytical equipment as needed
  • Plan and implement quality control activities in the laboratory and in‑process
  • Check batch records against standards and regulations
  • Train, motivate staff and conduct performance reviews
  • Develop annual action plans for the department
  • Negotiate and agree on quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Assess customer requirements and set service standards
  • Specify supplier quality requirements
  • Implement corrective actions with cross‑functional teams
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
  • Write management and technical reports and customer charters
  • Plan training needs and ensure effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance and quality
