The Microbiologist will oversee microbiological testing and quality assurance in the food processing plant, ensuring compliance with safety standards and timely reporting of results.
Responsibilities
- Comply with health & safety requirements and wear PPE
- Maintain lab equipment in safe condition
- Analyze critical points and identify control measures
- Schedule testing and ensure timely release of results
- Segregate incoming raw materials and products
- Accept or reject materials based on test results
- Identify IMS requirements from microbial analysis
- Implement corrective actions and maintain records
- Conduct internal audits for housekeeping
- Perform swab sampling of areas, equipment and personnel
- Inform QA division head of deviations
- Monitor premises and drainage system for hygiene standards
- Store chemicals & disinfectants separately
- Maintain detailed inspection records
- Work shifts including weekends as required
- Compile microbiological test reports accurately
