The Cashier Receptionist manages patient interactions, administrative tasks, inventory control, and financial transactions for a pharmacy branch, ensuring accurate documentation and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in person and over the phone
- Assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients professionally
- Maintain business inventory and schedule equipment maintenance
- Answer all phone calls courteously
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Schedule and book appointments between doctors and patients
- Liaise with technical staff discreetly
- Adhere to policies during all activities
- Communicate medical results under supervision
- Document patient visits accurately
- Organize non-medical documents, write letters as ordered by branch manager
- Prepare monthly reports for the branch manager
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Record credit and cash sales in the system
- Collect bank documents, record payments, issue cash receipts
- Reconcile VAT balances daily with senior accountant
- Follow up on customer credit balances
- Effect payments per petty cash policy
- Send petty cash settlement to Accounts Payable
- File financial documents
- Perform customer account lettering (matching)
- Hand over necessary documents to customers promptly
- Prepare and send additional reports as requested by AR & AP teams
