Lead the Ocean Freight team at DHL, overseeing strategy execution, daily operations, client relations, and continuous improvement of freight services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate OFR Ops/CS strategy implementation
- Monitor day‑to‑day operations and task allocation
- Develop and achieve ocean freight productivity targets
- Plan and execute product plans for perishables, pharmaceuticals, aviation, etc.
- Expand business with new clients and improve customer services
- Maintain client relationships and retention
- Prepare monthly performance reports
- Conduct regular customer visits
- Submit shipping tenders and manage documentation
- Respond to pricing enquiries and update tariffs
- Handle inbound/outbound documentation
- Enhance service quality through process improvements
- Create transport orders and optimize bookings
- Manage import/export documents and customs information
- Resolve supplier performance issues
- Coordinate with stakeholders and external partners
