Provide comprehensive reproductive, maternal, and newborn care to refugees and host communities in Gambella Region camps, including prenatal assessment, delivery assistance, postpartum support, lactation counseling, vaccinations, record keeping, health education, teamwork, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct prenatal assessments and monitor fetal development
- Assist with deliveries and manage complications
- Provide immediate postpartum care to mothers and newborns
- Initiate breastfeeding and support lactation
- Identify and manage maternal/newborn health problems
- Administer vaccinations and medications
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in community health education sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development
- Prepare regular reports for managers
