About the Role

The Shelter Officer will assess community shelter needs, plan and supervise construction activities, ensure quality and adherence to humanitarian guidelines, and coordinate logistics and stakeholder engagement in Gambella.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct shelter needs assessments and community consultations
  • Plan and supervise shelter construction and repairs
  • Prepare activity plans, BoQs, progress reports, and verification documents
  • Ensure compliance with humanitarian principles and protection standards
  • Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of materials
  • Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders
  • Maintain beneficiary and construction records
