The MEAL Officer designs, implements, and strengthens monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning, supporting evidence-based decision-making and continuous program improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of MEAL systems and tools at the field level
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection across all project sites
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits and supportive supervision
- Maintain data quality through verification and validation processes
- Compile, analyze, and report project data on a weekly to quarterly basis
- Train staff on data collection, reporting, and data quality standards
- Establish and manage complaints and feedback mechanisms
- Promote accountability and transparency in project implementation
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories
- Facilitate learning sessions and reflection meetings
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and partners
