The Livestock Business Advisor will design and implement market‑system interventions to strengthen livestock enterprises, create jobs for youth, and promote inclusive growth in Ethiopia’s Jimma region.
Responsibilities
- Lead livestock market systems interventions for key value chains
- Conduct market assessments and design solutions to improve competitiveness
- Support youth-led enterprises with business advisory and financing access
- Develop private sector partnerships and market linkages
- Facilitate financial inclusion through banks, MFIs, and other providers
- Organize training and capacity building activities for stakeholders
- Build strong partnerships with government, research institutions, and NGOs
- Integrate gender equality, disability inclusion, and safeguarding into programs
- Identify innovative business models and document lessons learned
- Monitor progress, prepare reports, and support donor engagements
