The Finance Coordinator manages daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with policies, preparing budgets, conducting audits, and producing timely reports to support DEC’s programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day financial and accounting operations
- Participate in budget preparations and issue plans
- Ensure compliance with accounting and budgeting policies
- Support project visits and partners
- Conduct internal audits of accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems
- Respond to external and internal financial inquiries
- Meet reporting deadlines
- Develop annual work plan for the area
- Monitor preparation and submission of reports
- Assist in consolidation of the annual budget
- Perform other tasks as assigned
