Private Sector Development (PSD) Advisor

About the Role

The PSD Advisor will lead project management and support activities for the Recovery Support of MSMEs in Afar, working closely with AfWEA to strengthen women's entrepreneurship and enhance business development services.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for Recovery Support in Afar, including contract steering and operational planning
• Support AfWEA in planning and delivering key activities such as trainings, mentorships, networking events, and community outreach
• Assist AfWEA with organizational growth: membership expansion, partnership building, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization
• Strengthen AfWEA’s day‑to‑day operations, coordination, planning, reporting, and service delivery to members across Afar Region
• Monitor regional trends in business development services, access to finance, and MSME support; identify new opportunities for the project
• Liaise with public and private stakeholders and represent the PSD‑E project in meetings and discussions
