The role involves supporting knowledge management, monitoring & evaluation, field data collection, communication, and feedback processes for GIZ’s drought resilience project in Jigjiga, Ethiopia. The intern will document lessons learned, assist with M&E activities, produce knowledge products, and help maintain project visibility.
Responsibilities
- Document project achievements and lessons learned
- Develop knowledge products such as case studies and policy briefs
- Manage digital and physical knowledge repositories
- Support data collection, entry, cleaning, and analysis for M&E
- Track project indicators and maintain monitoring databases
- Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Assist in field missions for quantitative and qualitative data gathering
- Create community profiles and document implementation progress
- Draft communication content for newsletters, reports, and social media
- Coordinate photo/video collection for visibility efforts
- Implement feedback mechanisms and track responses
- Provide general technical and operational support to the regional team
