The Protection Assistant supports the establishment and strengthening of Community-Based Protection Networks in Humera and Maikadra by conducting stakeholder mapping, delivering capacity building training, providing technical support for protection analysis and action plans, and ensuring compliance with DRC’s protection standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and assess existing community-based structures
- Identify and strengthen Community-Based Protection Networks or Focal Points
- Facilitate capacity building training for CBPN/FPs
- Provide technical support for protection analysis and action plan development
- Ensure adherence to DRC’s protection standards
- Support implementation of community action plans through follow-up and monitoring
- Engage with community representatives, local authorities and stakeholders
- Participate in trainings on CBP
- Document activities and produce reports
- Contribute to MEAL processes
- Facilitate linkages and referrals to service providers
