The Quality Chemist performs routine analytical testing to ensure raw materials and finished products meet company specifications, providing accurate data for manufacturing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Perform quality control tests according to SOPs
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and standards
- Record test results accurately in notebooks and databases
- Escalate out-of-spec results promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment
- Assist with calibration and verification of equipment
- Follow safety procedures and dispose of waste properly
