Senior General Accountant

About the Role

Oversee all financial operations of the manufacturing facility, maintain accurate records, ensure regulatory compliance, produce comprehensive reports, manage budgeting and forecasting, supervise staff, and support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities
• Ensure timely tax declarations and compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance where necessary
• Assist management with financial analysis and decision‑making support
