Assist the optometrist by manufacturing, assembling, and fitting optical products while providing client guidance and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily activities and submit for approval
- Create and assemble eye glasses, contact lenses, and optical devices
- Mount and process lenses using precision equipment
- Fill prescriptions to ensure proper vision correction
- Take client eye measurements and assist in frame selection
- Advise clients on suitable lens types and eyewear styles
- Fit clients with eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Operate grinding, cutting, and polishing machinery
- Maintain machine cleanliness and record keeping
