The Finance Department Head oversees all financial activities, ensuring effective management, compliance, reporting, budgeting, cash flow control, and strategic financial planning for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise finance and accounting team
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare annual budgets and monitor budget performance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions
- Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with legal requirements
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Monitor expenditures and recommend cost-control measures
- Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger functions
- Maintain proper financial records and documentation
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
