Electromechanical Engineer

About the Role

Electromechanical Engineer responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electromechanical systems in irrigation and water well projects, ensuring operational excellence and safety across Ethiopia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise irrigation water well development and rehabilitation activities
• Oversee water well drilling, development, and testing operations
• Select, install, test, and commission submersible and surface pump systems
• Execute and supervise electrical and mechanical works for submersible pump installations
• Manage valve house installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Conduct pump performance testing and system evaluations
• Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of electromechanical equipment
• Monitor water well performance and recommend operational improvements
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and project stakeholders
