Senior General Accountant

About the Role

Senior General Accountant responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, budgeting, forecasting and audit support at Birhan Cosmetics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare and monitor standard costs for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
• Track inventory valuation and reconcile with production records
• Ensure accurate posting of transactions and asset depreciation
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions
• Maintain proper documentation and internal controls
• Coach and train other accountants
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
• Analyze variances between actual and standard costs
• Process tax declarations, filings, and statutory reports
• Support external and tax audits
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor performance against budget and provide management insights
