Senior Welder responsible for advanced food‑grade welding, fabrication, and installation tasks in a factory setting, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards while mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced food‑grade welding and fabrication on stainless steel, black steel, aluminum, cast iron, pipelines, tanks and conveyors
- Supervise and guide welders and mechanics during installation and repair work
- Inspect, test and certify welding to ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards
- Plan and prioritize welding activities in coordination with maintenance and utilities teams
- Lead emergency repairs and troubleshoot complex welding problems
- Maintain documentation of welding work and material usage
- Train and mentor junior welders and technicians
- Transport welding machines and materials to job sites
- Support continuous improvement projects such as efficiency enhancement and waste reduction
- Ensure strict adherence to 5S and preventive maintenance of equipment
