The Microbiologist will support the winery’s quality assurance team by conducting microbiological testing, maintaining lab equipment, ensuring ISO compliance, and reporting results to uphold product safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Ensure ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 22000:2005 implementation
- Sample, swab, and test incoming materials and finished products
- Perform environmental monitoring and plant sanitation checks
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Compile and issue quality reports
- Maintain laboratory records and databases
- Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances
- Collaborate with cellar, bottling, and utility supervisors
