The Distribution Manager leads the end-to-end distribution process, overseeing daily operations, sales administration, budgeting, compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily distribution operations including loading, unloading, and delivery of goods
- Manage sales administration activities and related budgets
- Develop and implement operational policies to improve processes
- Coordinate with other departments for timely order taking and delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, quality, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain equipment and facilities, manage vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Monitor KPIs such as OTIF delivery, order cycle time, and transportation cost per unit
- Prepare and present performance reports
- Recruit, train, and manage distribution staff
