The Assistant Researcher II will conduct molecular biology assays, sample processing, and laboratory quality control for the Anti-Parasite Net malaria project, supporting research and data collection efforts.
Responsibilities
- Extract gDNA/RNA from human blood and mosquito vectors
- Perform conventional and advanced PCR (qPCR, dPCR)
- Conduct mosquito bisection for molecular analysis
- Punch and extract DBS samples
- Prepare laboratory solutions and manage equipment storage
- Register and store field samples in lab logs
- Assist with procurement requests
- Develop and follow SOPs
- Participate in field activities as needed
- Collaborate with researchers, field teams, data management, and logistics officers
- Maintain biosafety standards
