Senior Accountant

About the Role

The Senior Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, support audits, and maintain compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations for a manufacturing firm.

Responsibilities

• Code and post financial transactions
• Prepare and declare monthly tax to the Ethiopian Revenue Authority
• Collect bank, loan statements and debit/credit advice
• Reconcile VAT records with the general ledger
• Assist external auditors and tax auditors during audit processes
• Maintain proper filing of documents and worksheets
• Prepare salary payment summaries and related documentation
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow activities
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
