Senior HR Officer responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function—from recruitment to performance management—while ensuring compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and aligning HR strategies with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Understand and enforce Ethiopian labor laws
- Manage full HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development, employee relations
- Handle compensation and benefits, salary structuring, grading systems, and payroll administration
- Utilize HRIS and standard office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Resolve workplace conflicts and counsel employees
- Guide junior HR staff or line managers
- Align HR practices with overall business objectives
- Communicate effectively in English and local languages
- Analyze HR metrics such as turnover rates and time-to-hire and prepare detailed management reports
