About the Role

The Nurse Counselor provides targeted HIV testing, counseling, and linkage services at supported hospitals in Oromia, ensuring high yield of positive identifications and smooth transition to care while monitoring program performance and supporting staff capacity building.

Responsibilities

Conduct HIV testing activities (PITC, VCT, ICT) including index case testing
Ensure proper documentation and follow‑up of test results and linkage to care
Monitor and improve HIV testing cascade performance
Provide training and mentorship on testing protocols
Collaborate with treatment teams for retention support
Maintain testing supplies and equipment
Analyze monthly data and develop improvement plans
