- Translate continental strategies into regional implementation plans
- Provide technical guidance on surveillance, laboratory systems, and emergency response
- Coordinate design and strengthening of disease surveillance and laboratory networks
- Lead risk assessments and gap analyses
- Build capacity through training programmes and mentorship
- Manage multi-country projects and partnerships
