Senior technical leader responsible for coordinating Africa CDC’s core programmes across multiple African regions, translating continental strategies into actionable plans, strengthening surveillance and laboratory systems, leading digital health initiatives, and managing outbreak readiness and workforce development.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and translate continental strategies into regional implementation plans
- Advise on surveillance, laboratory systems, emergency preparedness and response across member states
- Coordinate design and strengthening of integrated disease surveillance and laboratory networks
- Promote digital health solutions and data integration platforms
- Lead outbreak readiness dashboards and rapid response activation
- Develop training programmes and build workforce capacity
- Manage M&E, reporting, and partnership engagement with stakeholders
