The role involves updating the Integrated Landscape Development Plan (ILDP) for Gambella National Park and drafting a strategic management plan (2025‑2035), encompassing policy review, stakeholder engagement, spatial analysis, zoning, conflict mitigation, and governance strengthening to support sustainable conservation and community livelihoods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature & information review on ILDP and related policies
- Perform stakeholder consultations with communities and agencies
- Carry out spatial, temporal, and ecological analyses for planning
- Develop zoning framework and land-use regulations
- Create human-wildlife coexistence strategies
- Review governance and institutional frameworks
- Propose monitoring, evaluation, and enforcement mechanisms
