The Nurse delivers comprehensive, safe, and compassionate care to patients, managing clinical tasks from assessment to treatment while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health conditions and record medical histories and vital signs
- Provide direct nursing care including medications, injections, IV therapies and treatments
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to physicians
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures and treatments
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and healthy lifestyle practices
- Maintain accurate, complete and confidential patient records
- Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment, supplies and treatment areas
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies with first aid or life-saving interventions
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, referrals and discharges
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, laboratory staff, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
