Provide expert legal counsel on contracts, HR, safeguarding, and compliance for ActionAid Ethiopia, supporting senior management and HR across remote, virtual, and field-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Advise on contracts, donor agreements, partnership MoUs and vendor risk frameworks
- Provide legal guidance to HR on employment contracts, performance management, disciplinary procedures, labor compliance
- Represent the organization in courts, tribunals and arbitration related to HR, compliance and other matters
- Oversee safeguarding investigations and duty-of-care/security policy compliance
- Support regulatory and federation compliance communications
- Maintain familiarity with Ethiopian NGO regulations and global federation expectations
