About the Role

The role drives fundraising by positioning Acted within Ethiopia’s donor ecosystem, managing a portfolio of priority donors, developing new funding streams, and overseeing end‑to‑end proposal and grant delivery to secure sustainable resources.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with priority donors, UN agencies, INGOs, government counterparts, and national NGOs
  • Strategically engage senior stakeholders and prepare briefings and key messages
  • Lead participation in clusters and coordination platforms to identify funding opportunities
  • Translate external engagement into a structured pipeline with clear follow‑up actions
  • Define and manage a focused portfolio of 5–7 priority donors
  • Develop non‑traditional funding streams such as climate finance and private sector partnerships
  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver high‑quality proposals aligned with donor expectations
  • Manage grant obligations, reporting timelines, and compliance across departments
  • Coordinate proposal and grant management processes across cross‑functional teams
  • Maintain a centralised resource base for evidence integration
